About our School

This school is the First educational institute of the Council of Khalsa College- The opening prayer for the establishment of Khalsa College middle school was held on October 22nd, 1893 on Sunday. At that time, the Members of Managing Committee, very renowned Personalities, Religious Sabha Societies and Singh Sabha Societies were in the gathering. At the time of Dawn (Amrit Vela), Kirtan of Aasa Di War was performed.

Special discussions related to Khalsa College took place at that time. After that all Sangat reciting prayers went to Shri Harmandir Sahib to for pay obeisance and perform Ardaas over there.

On 23rd October, 1893 study started in the school premises and first headmaster was Bhai Mohan Singh. President of Council at that time was Dr. W.H. Rattigan and Secretary was S. Jawahar Singh Kapoor.
In year 1896, Khalsa College Middle School got the rank of High School. In year 1960, It got the rank of High Sec. School and In year 1967, this school came into grant-in-aid Scheme. From April 1986, when +2 classes started, then It came to be known as Khalsa College Sen. Sec. School.
According to student’s convenience, facility of Both English and Punjabi Medium
is there In the school, There are proper arrangements for all the Streams, such as
Medical, Non Medical, Arts and Commerce etc. School has its Unique Identity in higher education as well as in the field of sports. Near about 3000 students are getting education from Nursery to +2 and 70 teachers are teaching here. There are 45
classrooms, 5 Laboratories (Computer, Math, Physics, Chemistry and Biology), State of the art Library, Smart classrooms and Seminar Hall. Teaching of Gurmat Sangeet and Religious Education are also imparted here. Excellent grounds, Boxing Hall, Judo Hall, Beautiful Parks and green surroundings have their own significance. This institution has got glorious achievements in Education, Religious education, Sports, Cultural activities, Science fairs, Fine Arts, NCC, Scouts etc.
In current times, the school is functioning under the able management of the
Council’s President S. Satyajit Singh Ji Majithia and Honorary Secretary S. Rajinder
Mohan Singh Ji Chinna. The school maintains its unique Identity while upholding great traditions.
